About Us

Designwood derives from the early days where clients asked for particular projects to be completed having provided extensive information on their needs and wants. We provide our clients with the advice given for each particular job on the best possible design for the customer whilst also doing our upmost to integrate the customers needs into the design stages, to provide the perfect finish. As such, the name Designwood was born.

To this present day, we as a company, still approach our clients with the same attitude; as such, providing excellent, individually tailored advice to our clients. It is evident that it is our exceptional advice that leads to our customers returning time and time again.

We are a carpentry based company, however, we continue to expand into taking on other trades ourselves to be able to offer a full-service company for our clients. We are known for our impressive ability to listen to our clients to what they want, and provide great results. Our customers always feel comfortable that they are being provided with reliable and trustworthy worksmen with the right aptitude, skillset and determination to complete every task to the highest standard.

We cover all carpentry works from kitchen full fits with associated works such as fitting doors, skirting boards, flooring, stud walling, roof work, windows, conservatories, fencing, stairs, spindles door frames and much much more. Any task is never too big, and we will do all that we can to accommodate your needs. Additionally we complete bathroom fitting full services which includes: tiling, plumbing work, plastering, plaster boarding, electrical work, central heating systems, brickwork, rendering, landscaping, block paving and much more!

Project 1

Our first project we would like to discuss is the creation of 6 x new builds apartments. We worked on this project from the ground upwards starting from making the templates for the windows and doors, mapping out ceiling joists for the plaster boarding, whilst planning out all internal stud work necessary to complete the dividing of all rooms through the use of plaster boarding ceilings and walls, fitting all upvc windows and doors and a combination french doors. We also completed the highly technicial service of laying underfloor heating whilst also fitting all of the skirting boards, architraves and internal doors. Photos of the work completed are found below. Our customer was very impressed with the professional and efficient service they received, and stated they would not hestitate to recommed us, and use Designwood's services again.

Project 2

Our second project is the complete fit out of a Barber Shop. This was quite a big job, however, we worked tireslessly to provide our clients with a brilliant end result in which they could be proud of. We were involved from the careful planning and layout of the work, to the fitting of the wall paneling, flooring and skirting boards and even the wallpapering of the building. We constructed the free standing walls with partitions and electrical supply and fitted a TV to the wall. We continued with the painting of the timber items, fitting all the mirrors, units, shelving making and fitting of chairs under the counter to a high standard. The shop was completed to the highest standard and our client was very happy they could start trading straight away.
